hahaha...my car has got problem immediately receiving the vehicle...the courtesy light were wrongly wired thus..not able to switch on.

a few weeks later, reverse sensor cable came off.

Driven less than 10K, turbo problem...can still drive but whole car vibrate and I need to use Tiptronic to drive. (Semi auto)  1st gear to 2nd gear will move after 8 secs or more.. everytime, during traffic light turns green, a more than 10 year old van can pickup faster than my 5008.

As for the temperature sensor, I have ignore the light and continue to drive, but after a while, my whole car jerk and stop halfway.  I need to switch off the engine and start again.  This will help to "Wake up" the sensor and I can drive normally.  Else, car will not move or move very slowly.  For your info, this problem occur when is below 50K of driving.

I have sent in the vehicle more than 5 times.  Lost count.  Everytime, I need to "beg" for a courtesy car as I am in service line and will need to visit 5 to 7 customers per day.

2 weeks ago, this turbo issue problem again and my mileage is 75K now.

Hi bro, what do you do with your turbo issue? Did AF replace it for u? Have u encountered coolant loss? Thermostat replacement?

Yes, they replaced the turbo for me...Yes, coolant loss..I will need to top up water (1 litre) once a day...else whole car vibrate and engine power loss. Thermostat replaced and whole coolant enclosure changed FOC inclusive of service due to warranty.
The problem is the inconveniences. Instead of buying a car to drive, most of the time, is in the workshop. Now, thinking that the warranty is ending soon, the amount spent for repairing the car in the future worries me.

It is un-usual for your car to have so much problems.

Could it be your engine overheated before...due to lack of coolant

Hi,

I just got my new 5008 e-hdi & driving for about a month now. So far so good.
The reason I chose this over Japanese MPV like Wish & Mazda 5 is becoz of its price & features as well as interior space. I couldn't convince myself to pay higher for a smaller Jap MPV with lesser features & functions especially on the safety aspects like 6 airbags & 5-star safety rating.

Handling, built & ride quality & interior sound insulation is also significantly better compared to Jap make. Factory sound system is also a lot better. Other advantages includes, huge Panaramic Moonroof, Classic & Tasteful design both interior & exterior, Traction control, Auto Headlights & Wipers, Daytime running lights, Auto dim rear mirror, cruise control, tires pressure sensor, high seating position, fuel economy, Turbo, ... the list goes on...

Diesel engines designs are not the same as petrol engines. They run cooler and hence much more reliable.

Wildfaye sir,

You note the mileage 50km only. Can't be used import. Dealers for pi cars have to put under used cars because in the new car section of sgcarmart, there is no place for pi cars.

In the used car section, the dealers can put individual car photos and OMV. But new car section cannot. Hence, the dealers force to put under used cars.

I am very familiar in this area. Rest assured.
