PostSubject: Just rolled out   Thu Dec 13, 2012 2:59 pm

Hello everybody

My 3008 was rolled out yesterday Very Happy

I had collected my car in the evening and had a nerve wrecking time driving home affraid as it was raining and the sky is dark and with heavy traffic.
Worst of all I have yet to get use to the controls and feel of the car.

nonetheless i am enjoying the car as is it right now.
the only concern that i have is driving on the slopes in basement and multi story carpark as i could only guesstimate where is the front tip of my car and hopes it does not scrapped against the wall.

cheers

Hi enjoy your new ride and welcome aboard. For some strange reason, I always see rain on the day to collect a new car.

Welcome...

You are not the only one worrying about slopes and walls... after more than a month, I am still jittery.
My colleagues have even commented that I drive mine like a tank... Slow! tongue
Sigh... they should understand that is because I drive my older car really fast.

affraid You are not alone.

I just have to drive into the basement carpark at Somerset Ampang in KL this afternoon. Clearance from the driver's front corner to the wall was about 10 cm and the rear passenger tyre from the inner kerb was also about 10 cm clearance. Scared the shit out of me. Near-precision driving, any mistake = new decoration/battle scar on the car.

Welcome another 3008.
I've mine for 2 years now and still enjoying it.
It is fun car to drive except parking maybe due to the bulkiness of the body.
Be extra careful when reversing at HDB Multi storey carpark with low beam. Play safe by not going too close.
Enjoy the power and have a safe drive.

Thanks for all the welcome

Yes I been enjoying the ride, not used to the size, therefore parking is a problem as i seems not able park parallel to the lot. maybe becos i feel that the side mirrors are showing the sides closer than it should be.

Also find the dashboard kind of deep Very Happy
have to stand on my legs and stretched to remove the cashcard tongue

The headup display is cool, i realised that i have not looked down at all to look at my speedo.

You're not alone with parking accuracy problem.
I've driven car of bigger size (longer) and had always been able to park with ease but still misjudged the 3008 sometimes. I think it has also to do the steering, our turning radius is also big.
There are still many little features that you'll slowly discover. Enjoy.
