Hi Leo, thanks. Will look up the UK site. I just hope the electric lasts. ECUs are expensive. I wonder how many are there in the car.

Hi, had been driving for past 6 weeks. FC is really very good 930Km per tank. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I went to Toh Tuck pump diesel, joined the membership. The station give $30 worth free diesel if you top-up $150 fuel card, it is a good deal. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Woah that's cool! Thanks for sharing bro Kelvinsan!!
One niggling thing that's holding me back now is the lack of HID LED. Diesel comes only with halogen. Really wasted. Anyone knows who can install the LED lamps assuming I can get it from Taobao?

That's true about the LED thingy. Wasted. I don't mind without the HUD but halogen... Gosh...

But I get irritated when the LED gets into my eyes. They really too bright for comfort.

Yep, that's the sore point. Don't mind paying a little more to get it with the HID variant. But no such options provided by AF. 508 is a luxury sedan size, it should be inclusive. Dampened by interest tbh...

One thing i like about the 508 Diesel is the performance. it remind me one of my old Mit. Galant V6 2.0.
When you step on the accelerator pad, it immediate response without hesitation. unlike Camry and Ceifro, it will think twice whether to response or not.
Another plus point is you are not driving a common car like Vezel or Harrier. Too many on the road, hehehe.

Hahaha... Don't forget to top up your Adblue tank. It's hidden underneath the tyre which I think is troublesome...

Went for 2nd test drive. Convinced its a good drive, just have to convince my family who finds it difficult to adjust after being years with the Touran. Worse still is the lack of storage space. Damn, why it's so difficult to make everyone happy haha.

No need to assume, it is available. Plenty of options with range from $200 - $800/pc on Taobao. Looks identical and even made from the same manufacturer Valeo(at least the sticker says so  Laughing )

No online literature about the Halogen-> LED conversion process. It wont be as simple as a Plug n Play job i suspect.

I might eventually consider trying that project when my vehicle is out of warranty and i can find a pair for a song. Also note that if changed, every inspection, it needs be fitted back to the original Halogens to pass.

Just becareful, halogen and LED not that direct to interchange. Something to do with the current supply. May burn your led if amp too high.

AK, I'm sticking to standard factory fittings if purchasing.

Fuel consumption not sure. Diesel should be better.

Ok, I checked. High/low bulbs are H7. Will change them to 4300K which is allowed. When will you book?

Real HID lights consume less energy. Its 35Watts whereby normal halogen is 55W. However, the system may detect the lower power consumption by HID light and throw out a fault code that headlight is not working.
